Hi,
Thought I would join as I've seen the posters at Dr Grays and attended a breastfeeding ante-natal session. I'm surprised to see so few posts and members on what potentially could be a much more useful site than somewhere like mumsnet!
Anyway to introduce myself- I'm an older mum, late thirties with a son who is two and a half, with number two due in a few weeks. I breastfed my son until his first Birthday and hope to do the same with this little one. I didn't have a strong opinion about breastfeeding before my son was born and understand when new Mums are upset if they can't or choose not to. Mine was a very positive experience and I am more than happy to help someone else if I can, so that's why I have decided to log on here and register.
I think it would be really useful if there was an area on the forum where we could all post recommended local places to go out with the little ones in terms of facilities etc for example I personally found some shops/loos etc completely inaccessible with a normal sized pram does any one else agree?
If you are thinking of joining then please do and tell your friends as it's up to us to make good use of this facility, that way we can all benefit (and no I don't have any connections to anyone involved in setting up or looking after this website!)

Hello, I have just joined the forum. I am breastfeeding my second son (only 16 months between my two boys). I agree that there are some places in the Elgin area that just don't seem baby friendly and some that are ideal.
I went along to the BRAG sessions at the community centre for a little while with my first baby and thought it was great. I would love to come along again, but I'm a bit worried that my clingy older toddler might make it too difficult. It can be hard to meet other breastfeeding mums who also have to deal with feeding in public.
Hopefully we'll make it along to the group soon and say hello.  Grin
