Grampian

NHS Grampian is in the process of achieving UNICEF's Baby Friendly Initiative accreditation babyfriendly.org.uk.
Dr Gray's Hospital and Aberdeen maternity Hospital have passed stage 1 (20 Feb 2009) and were complemented on the high quality of documentation submitted for assessment. Full accreditation is expected to be achieved by early 2012.

Baby Friendly works with health services to improve practice, and for new parents this means that you are empowered and supported to make informed choices about how you feed and care for your baby.
